The revival of Roseanne has proved polarizing, not only because the show decided to make its heroine a Trump supporter, but also because the real Roseanne Barr is an unapologetic Trump supporter who’s been tweeting conspiracy theories and calling Parkland survivor David Hogg a Nazi.
She’s not the only one sounding off. Here’s what celebs are saying about Roseanne and Roseanne Barr.
Argh. Hit show on ABC. we have reached peak normalization. pic.twitter.com/OnEmeh3oxW

The secret to @therealroseanne massive ratings is that it celebrates people with huge political differences who are able to laugh and love together as they passionately disagree.

If you normalize this hateful man - no matter what you tell yourself - you are directly harming large groups of people, and probably yourself too. ❤️kisssssessssss

watched @RoseanneOnABC last night & loved it. That familiar feeling of the old but w comedy & content so totally of this moment like the angst w/in close families over politics. Hope y’all let go of needing art 2 reflect/express only what u yourself feel. That’s not what art’s 4

I know that’s not her character on the show. But I can’t watch her playing any character. She says David Hogg did the Nazi salute. That’s not political disagreement. It’s wrong. So, I understand your point, but don’t judge ppl for not being able to bring themselves to watch her.

I understand that perspective. ❤️ you too a lot.

She's dangerous and demented and the success of the show will only help to embolden her, increase and normalize her platform. I loved the show as a kid but plenty of other shows to watch now.

Roseanne on Jimmy Kimmel about Trump: “let’s try to think positive”.
— Emmy Rossum (@emmyrossum) March 29, 2018
Well, actions speak louder. The Wall. The transgender military ban. The normalization of lying. The demonizing of the press. The rise in hate crimes. The POSITIVE is the MIDTERM ELECTIONS.
Some reviews I’ve been reading that Rosanne is attempting to bridge the gap in this country thru comedy are interesting… but I’m sorry, anyone who voted for A WALL is not trying to BRIDGE anything.

Roseanne has been rich, famous and isolated most of her life, yet she claims to be the voice of the working class. If she really wants to start a dialogue she could begin by not bragging about her close personal friendships with rich bigots

It’s important to remember that Roseanne Barr is a woman who claims to have “multiple personality disorder.” She’s a talented person, but part of her seems unable to distinguish fantasy from reality. (And yes there is no evidence of Trump doing any of this). https://t.co/WNPD5VY2Kn
— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) March 31, 2018
MCU director James Gunn was referring to a now-deleted tweet, where Barr claimed Trump had “freed so many children held in bondage to pimps all over this world. Hundreds each month. He has broken up trafficking rings in high places everywhere.”
And lastly, Tom Arnold, former Roseanne writer/star and Barr’s ex-husband, who’d originally reviewed the revival with the headline, “If I Can Watch, So Can You.”
It seems her tweets since then have changed his mind.
Roseanne Barr should do ep about the lies & cruelty she & Trump represent. Ice Agents pulling pregnant moms from kids, appalling treatment of Transgenders, not just disagree with Hillary she's: Pedophile, Murderer, Obama: Kenyan, Muslim, Parkland Kids: Nazi's. Nazi's: Fine people
