Cameron Diaz took to Instagram Reels this week to promote the salad she concocted in partnership with Gwyneth Paltrow’s GoopKitchen. The “Cameron Summer Crunch Salad” is, according to its creator, “full of big flavors and crunch, with crisp gem lettuce, sweet-and-spicy mango slaw, crunchy snow peas, carrots, cucumbers, fresh herbs, avocado slices, and served with a side of puffed rice, candied cashews, and goop Certified Clean cashew vinaigrette,” and a partridge in a pear tree. Diaz paired her salad with a new Sauvignon Blanc from her wine brand, Avaline, which is “Transparently produced, vegan-friendly and female-founded” according to the Avaline website.

A true branding devotee, Diaz gave her followers a peek into her fridge to reveal not bone broth and green juice but shelves upon shelves of her crunchy salad and white wine. In a second Reel, the actress admitted, “I love a great salad.” She then took a ceremonial sip of the Sauvignon Blanc, exclaiming, “Give me a glass of this by the
pool with ice cubes, and I am totally set.” She proceeded to chop, with great care, the various vegetables that make up the salad, occasionally letting out a quiet, “Delicioso” and saying words like “garlic” and “cilantro” with a vaguely Italian accent.

“Love it hot!” Diaz declared after tasting the salad. She did a little dance while snapping her fingers and singing, “Oh salad!” She then directed her followers to the Avaline website where they could purchase the wine and find the recipe for the salad.

“Cheers to a Sauvvy-B summer,” was her sendoff.

Unsuspecting scrollers of Instagram might witness this display of salad and white wine worship and think, is this how the blonde actresses of Los Angeles stay so young and fit? One can only hope that the answer is a resounding yes.
