The Backstreet Boys Are Officially Better Than NSYNC

Long before the war of Best Chris began, ’90s teens went to battle over who was the best boy band. Was it Backstreet Boys or NSYNC? Every music video and lip-biting look to the camera was another arrow slung and heart struck. And yes, NSYNC gave us Justin Timberlake, but also NSYNC gave us Justin Timberlake. Then, just when you might have thought the battle of boy bands was at long last put to rest, Backstreet’s back. (Alright!)

The Backstreet Boys embraced ’90s nostalgia on a fan cruise by going full-on Spice Girls. They cosplayed as the British girl group and lipsynced to “Wannabe.”

In the Instagram post above you can see Nick Carter as Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), Howie Dorough as Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Kevin Richardson as Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham), AJ McLean as Scary Spice (Melanie Brown), and Brian Littrell as Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm).
