How Does Mary Louise Parker Manage to Get More Attractive as She Ages?

By Dustin Rowles | TV Reviews | June 4, 2010 | Comments ()

That said: I don't like the direction "Weeds" has taken in recent years. It used to be about a suburban mom who sold weed who just happened to be hot. Now, it's just about how hot Parker is and in how many ways the showrunners can feature her in various stages of undress.

I'll admit, though, that I nearly gave up on the show a few episodes in last season, as the misanthropy had gone into overkill. But once I settled into the notion that Nancy Botwin isn't a likable character and probably never will be again, I began to appreciate it a little from a different perspective. That perspective being that Nancy is the real villain of this show now. She's also one of the worst television mothers of all time.

Here's the season six promo.
