Not anymore with Futurama. Past few seasons have been beyond shite. Hell ever since the straight to dvd movies really. MST3K or Community would have been better choices.

No BSG, no care. I know the ending was horseshit but the first half of the series was as amazing as sci-fi gets on television.

BSG at least deserved Babylon 5's spot.

Please don't flame-thrower me (it's a verb now), but I'm watching BSG right now, and it is the most frustrating television experience I have ever had. I don't understand how nerds like this show so much, because nothing any of the characters does makes any sense. And I don't mean in an "I'm confused, therefore I hate" kind of way, I mean in a "Why would that character do that? Why would the writers have that happen? That's so dumb. Why doesn't that character do this? Why didn't they stop to think for about 33 seconds and realize this? Why does no one use their logic? USE YOUR LOGIC, DAMMIT. LOGIC. YOU MAY BE OUT OF CIGARS BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE A HEALTHY SUPPLY OF BRAIN. Augh, frak you" kind of way.
I feel like Data or Spock because I end up yelling at the screen at least once per episode about logic. None of the characters or writers seem to have any. And I know the cylons have a plan that could potentially explain all of the holes in their behavior (it better be a godsdamn amazing plan), but the humans don't. And I'm very willing to make a few allowances here and there to enjoy a great dark sci-fi show, which this clearly is, but these seem like huge holes to me.
I just don't get all the love. I'm midway through season 2 right now, does it pull a Star Trek TNG and get better? Or...is this 'good' and I should just either accept it as is or accept that it isn't my cup of tea?

If you don't like it now I doubt you will ever like it. I thought the mini series was the best, followed by seasons 1 and 2 in that order. I love the show and even I had a hard time getting through season 3. And it had an ending that rivaled Lost both for its what the frakness and inability to answer many a question.

A humongous boo to Chuck. The rest of your selections are acceptable. If I had to pick something to replace it, I'd step away from the fiction and pick Cosmos.

While I enjoyed Chuck, I thought the geekiness was pretty tame. 20 something guys of their generation would like a lot more than just Back to the Future and Star Wars and some 80s references. Where was the anime love? The obscure sci-fi and fantasy novel references? Sort of seemed like it was written by 40 somethings who met a couple nerds a few times.

I just sat through all of Farscape and man, that was a self-aware show. Sci-fi references everywhere

Gotta work on my lack of geekdom: I've only been a fan of Buffy, and watched the first two seasons of Futurama.
The power is so not strong in this one (me).
