It’s Friday, and if you’re feeling anything like me today you probably just wanna sit down and distract yourself with shiny new nuggets of potential future awesomeness. From the fiery hotness of Michael B. Jordan to Parker Posey IN SPACE, I’ve collected the most exciting trailers that you may have missed this week. Indulge yourself. It’s almost the weekend, after all!

Cargo: May 18, Netflix

Do you like zombies, The Babadook, and the bits of Sherlock where John Watson had a baby? This is like all of those things, shoved through the Netflix sausage grinder! Here’s the synopsis:

From the producer of The Babadook, and starring Martin Freeman, comes Cargo. Based on the viral short film, this is the story of a man and his infant daughter who are stranded in the middle of a zombie apocalypse in rural Australia. And when he becomes infected, the countdown begins for him to find her protection before he changes forever.

Fahrenheit 451: May 19, HBO

Are you into dystopian futures that feel more realistic with each passing day? I mean, nobody is — and yet, here we are. ANYWAY, HBO’s adaptation of the classic Ray Bradbury story stars Michael B. Jordan, Michael Shannon, and Sofia Boutella. *Insert joke about how Michael B. Jordan is hotter than a burning book here…*

Lost In Space: April 13, Netflix

Our biggest frustration in the marketing of Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of the Robinson Family space-cation has been the lack of Matt LeBlanc Parker Posey footage. What I’m saying is: Pajiba would like to take full credit for inspiring Netflix to release the Posey-centric new trailer, introducing her take on the (villainous?) Dr. Smith.

The First Purge: In Theaters July 4

If you like The Purge franchise, but wish you knew how the whole “12 hours of annual lawlessness” thing started, here is your origin story! And based on this trailer, it looks like we can blame natural wonder Marisa Tomei for the whole thing.
