Seriously, who needs Shark Week? All fins and teeth and Candygram jokes. We “Game of Thrones” fans, dorks and wordplay enthusiasts here at Pajiba vastly prefer STARK WEEK. In chronological order (sorry Sansa, age before beauty) I present to you, the Starks.

Ned Stark

Catelyn Stark

Robb Stark

Jon Snow

Arya Stark

Bran Stark

Rickon Stark

…ummmm…who?

Joanna Robinson would like to thank the endlessly talented Jasmine Markes and all the clever little Pajibans who put their over-educated heads together for this silly enterprise. Also Dustin for his indulgence. STARK WEEK! You can follow us on Twitter @jmarkesthespot and @quityourjrob. We like puns.

"Bring me the Shrimp." might be my favorite. Well done jM.

dragon eggs, bam.

Posted by: carrboro ninja at August 5, 2011 1:21 PM

Bravo!

Posted by: DarthCorleone at August 5, 2011 1:29 PM

I made "Winter's Chumming" my desktop background. :)

Posted by: Angeleno Ewok at August 5, 2011 1:29 PM

Ricken gets no respect. Don't you know the most dangerous shark is the one you can't see?

Posted by: dl at August 5, 2011 1:33 PM

In Westeros, every week is Stark Week!

Wait, no. I have that backwards.

Posted by: Duvall at August 5, 2011 1:37 PM

And just like "Shark Week", the stars of "Stark Week" are endangered and hunted down.

Posted by: Fredo at August 5, 2011 1:44 PM

I just started reading this behemoth so I haven't seen the HBO show yet, but it's kind of awesome to see who they cast. Ned is perfect, of course, and the rest seem good, especially Arya. But i like my versions of Jon and Robb better, harumph.

Posted by: Fi at August 5, 2011 1:47 PM

Does anyone else think that Ned looks like he's singing Karaoke in his picture? Just me? Ok.

Posted by: Paultera at August 5, 2011 1:49 PM

Thanks again to all the 'jibans that threw out tagline ideas for this.

It was a tough job, but someone had to spend hours searching through hot photos of Sean Bean, Kit Harington, and Richard Madden. The things I do for Pajiba Love.

Posted by: jM at August 5, 2011 1:55 PM

@Paultera, TOTALLY.

holy shit that's funny.

Posted by: mex at August 5, 2011 2:16 PM

They're all grand, but I guffawed at "Winter's Chumming." Brilliant.

Posted by: RobP at August 5, 2011 2:21 PM

Paultera: Yup, that was my first thought, too. I had to look twice at the photo.

The Ned Stark Karaoke Request List:
"Summer Wind"
"Hungry Like The Wolf"
"I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
. . .

Posted by: coveredinbees at August 5, 2011 3:03 PM

Personally, "You're gonna need a bigger wall." is my fav.

Posted by: chado at August 5, 2011 3:03 PM

I hope we get Stark Week every year...like Christmas only pointy and a bit dirty looking!

Posted by: karen at August 5, 2011 3:05 PM

Ned is perfect, of course
Posted by: Fi at August 5, 2011 1:47 PM

Really? I dunno, to me he was always the one piece of casting I really didn't get. (All the Stark kids seem a bit too old to me, but that's understandable.) He doesn't look anything like my imaginary Eddard. But he's still a good actor, so I suppose that's all that matters.

Posted by: atgdng at August 5, 2011 3:51 PM

All the Stark kids are a bit too old. I think they added about 3 years to all of them.

I'm a sucker for GoT stuffs, but some of those taglines are weak. Still, love it.

So can Starks detect a drop of blood within a few miles; would the taste of blood provoke a Stark Frenzy. These are the questions we want answered...

Posted by: JJ at August 5, 2011 4:49 PM

I love this article.

So much.

Posted by: duckandcover at August 5, 2011 8:44 PM

I CANNOT WAIT TO READ BOOK FOUR AND AFTER THAT I WILL WATCH!CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THEY TRANSLATE THESE AMAZING CHARACTERS FROM PAGE TO SCREEN.
LOVED THE TAG LINES!

Posted by: Shay Kay at August 6, 2011 12:00 AM

WHY IS SHAY KAY YELLING??

Posted by: Uriah Creep at August 6, 2011 6:21 AM

WHAT?!

Posted by: Protoguy at August 6, 2011 12:31 PM

To me, it's all about Arya.

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at August 6, 2011 9:33 PM

I asked Shay Kay to yell because I'm deaf.

Posted by: dl at August 7, 2011 2:22 AM

Of course it's all about Arya.

Posted by: Protoguy at August 7, 2011 5:42 AM

YOU HAVE TO SHOUT... DL IS DEAF!

Posted by: Uriah Creep at August 7, 2011 5:50 AM

Cue Jon Snow whining "But I'm not a reaaaaal Staaaaark waaaah bastardbastardwaaahwaahetc".

Don't get me wrong, I love Jon Snow, but he can be whiny.

Posted by: Figgy at August 7, 2011 3:15 PM

Sorry guys, but this is kind of fucking stupid.

Posted by: Seany D at August 7, 2011 5:47 PM

Sorry Seany, but we don't give a flying blue fuck what you think.

Posted by: Rykker at August 8, 2011 10:30 AM

Robb & Jon are just a leeeeetle bit older than I had pictured...but Jon is SMOOOOOOOKIN' hot.

Just looking at Bran makes me want to cry.
