Next month Trainspotting, the film that introduced much of the world to Ewan McGregor (unless you’d been smart enough to first discover Shallow Grave) and kicked off the future Obi-Wan’s high gear career, turns twenty. Though Danny Boyle was hoping to release the untitled sequel this year (based on Welsh’s Porno), it looks like that’s not coming until 2017. But, we don’t have to wait to see how the boys are faring; here’s a peek at Renton, Sick Boy, Spud and Begbie to hold us over.

Ewan McGregor aka Mark “Rent Boy” Renton

What’s he up to? Last Days in the Desert, Jane Got a Gun, American Pastoral (directorial debut), voicing Obi-Wan in The Force Awakens and he’ll play Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast

Jonny Lee Miller aka Simon “Sick Boy” Williamson

What’s he up to? Elementary

Ewen Bremner aka Daniel “Spud” Murphy

What’s he up to? The Devil You Know, Banished, Houdini and Doyle, and he’ll appear in DC’s Wonder Woman

Robert Carlyle as Francis “Franco” Begbie

What’s he up to? Once Upon a Time

Bonus: Kevin McKidd aka Tommy MacKenzie who ***Spoiler**: (swipe to read) died.

What’s he up to? Grey’s Anatomy and Star Wars: Rebels

By Popular Demand: Kelly Macdonald aka Diane Coulston

What’s she up to? Boardwalk Empire, coming up in 2017, The Journey Is the Destination, Okja

Looks like it’s time for a re-watch, gang.
