Are there any more pretentious ads than luxury car spots? At least when Tom Hiddleston does those Jaguar commercials, there’s a bit of a wink and a smirk, but these new spots for Lincoln? Let’s just say that if anyone other than Matthew McConaughey even attempted to Rust Cohle his way through this crap, we’d be consumed by fits of laughter. As impossible as it is to take them seriously, he actually pulls it off manages to keep a straight face.
Wait, did Matty just pray to his car to stop the rain? And it worked?
