JTT in the Wild: Because When a Unicorn is Spotted, There Must Be Celebration

By Courtney Enlow | Celebrities Are Better than You | August 15, 2013 | Comments ()

So, TMZ spotted Jonathan Taylor Thomas at the Arclight last night. Of course that’s where he was. He’s so classy. WHAT WAS HE SEEING? DID HE LIKE IT? WHAT SNACKS DID HE GET? DID HE ASK ABOUT ME?

Sigh. Isn’t he dreamy to the max?

I NEED TO GIF ABOUT IT. It’s not pervy if you’re 12 at heart, guys.

I’m sure this young lady grew up to have very healthy relationship views. …I hope.

Ranking September's 5 Most Anticipated New and Returning Cables Dramas | 12 TV Couples I Cannot Wait To Ship The Sh*t Out Of This Year

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • PerpetualIntern

    Everything about this is glorious.

  • Catherine J Howard

When I was working at my college's library, JTT walked in to check out books on feminist literature. After maintaining my cool and checking out the books for him with only a sweet smile, he smiled back and walked back out of the door, back out of my life, leaving behind only the sweet perfume of his pheromones.

I immediately laid on the nasty 30 year old carpet and screamed into it until my eyes were bloodshot.

    Unbelievably fucking true story.

  • Oh, man, even as a 12 year old I thought he was douchy.

  • katy

I would never judge, because I could do the same with some old Kirk Cameron glossies. It's just unfortunate that anytime someone "catches up" with him now it's not at all pretty. Not. At. All.

  • DominaNefret

I am not a girly girl at all, and I never have been (aside from preferring loose skirts and dresses, because I like how they twirl, and the fact that they are FAR more comfortable in DC summers. They are practically dresscode for women in the area during the summer); I was a jock all from elementary school through high school, every year doing spring and autumn soccer, winter basketball, spring softball, swimteam, tennis camp, etc.
But from fifth grade through eighth grade every square inch of my bedroom walls was covered in Tigerbeat posters and pages; 75% JTT, with Devon Sawa, Vincent Kartheiser, Edward Furlong, and Brad Renfro making up the rest.
...............I thought it made me so cool.

  • Greg!

I don't see what this has to do with Terriers

  • stella

Well now I have to go watch Tom and Huck...

  • e jerry powell

It most certainly is pervy, if you work at Tiger Beat.

GROWN PEOPLE designing magazine layouts intended to sexualize pre-pubescent stars for pre-pubescent readers.

I still cringe at the memory of a spread comparing and contrasting Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond.

  • Amy Love

Who was that lady who went in the elevator with him because it should have been me.

  • Repo

They should do a Home Improvement reunion movie. The boys still look great, and I could spend the entire movie waiting to see how they would shoehorn in "I don't think so, Tim". And then promptly CLAP MY ASS OFF AND CHEER.

  • Bert_McGurt

I always thought he looked (and sounded, sometimes) like he could believably play Harrison Ford's kid. If only there were an upcoming project where that might be useful...

  • DominaNefret

    No no no. Christian Slater.

  • Bodhi

I watched Huck and Finn so often that I think my sweet, long suffering dad can still recite it.

Annnd that just makes me bummed about Brad Frenfro...

  • Leigh

Elijah Wood's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was SO much better. (Maybe my judgement was clouded by my undying love for Elijah Wood at the time.) I watched that one til my parents could recite it, too.

  • Krissy

Brad Renfro is dead too?!?! Man, Jonathan Brandis and Brad Renfro were some of my favorites. SAD

  • Buellie413

We are just ruining Krissy's day here. I think Devon Sawa is still alive!

  • Krissy

    Thank God for that! Sheesh

  • Joe Grunenwald

This is my wife's new favorite post.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

That whole picture is so, so, so very 90s. It hurts, it's so 90s. It couldn't be more 90s if there were a Furby in-frame and Tickle Me Elmo were the photographer while Will Smith and a be-vested Matthew Perry just kind of hung out and afterwards everybody went to a go-cart track then on a group date with the female cast of TGIF (at TGIF) except for Topanga because Topanga is mine, you guys.

ETA: EXCEPT if the photo shoot occurred in a van some guy lived in but nobody thought that was creepy at all.

ETA2: UNLESS the background was all flannel. Max to the 90s, you guys. AT THE MAX.

  • Buellie413

I am laughing my ass off right now. Substitute Jonathan Brandis (RIP) for JTT and you have me at 12 years old.

I made my friends see the Brandis/Chuck Norris movie Sidekicks in the theater, and I think that's why I don't have friends anymore.

  • Remember his MFTV movie with Tatiana Ali "Fall Into Darkness" based on the Christopher Pike book? SHIT GOT REAL.

  • thewatcher

Christopher Pike! Yikes, I haven't heard that name in a while. Loved his books way more than R.L. Stine.

  • PerpetualIntern

Christopher Pike! Damn, I had forgotten about those books...

  • Ashley Boykin

I watched this on You Tube a year ago because Jonathan Brandis plus Christopher Pike was two of my favorite things in middle school. Did you guys know that Pike starting publishing again recently? Of course I've read them...

  • oilybohunk7

I have not seen that but now it is my life's mission. I feel like I failed him.

The other day I was at my parents and my dad unearthed a box of my old crap and I had a bunch of those type of books. VIntage R.L. Stine, anyone?

  • Buellie413

How have I missed this?! TO THE INTERWEBS.

  • Krissy

Thinking about Jonathan Brandis always makes me sad. I was totally a Jonathan Brandis kind of girl. Even watched that terrible show with the talking dolphin for him. RIP JB

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

*ahem* Sorry. But that dolphin was the shit. Also the mentally challenged ocean Datas? Oh, underwater Star Trek, your terrible brilliance will continue to be missed.

  • Repo

I realize it's inferior to the original, but used to watch Neverending Story 2 like ALL the time. Brandis was awesome.

  • Bodhi

I may have watched Ladybugs more than 5, ok, 10 times...

  • oilybohunk7

  • Joe Grunenwald

  • oilybohunk7

I'm with you. I've watched Ladybugs at least a 100 times and I even watched Seaquest DSV. My friend had casually mentioned how he killed himself thinking I already knew about it when we were out and about once. I didn't. I almost had a full-on meltdown right in the middle of the grocery store. RIP Jonathan.

  • Jo 'Mama' Besser

Was he riding the dog from Frasier?

  • Buellie413

Oh my god, your username just made me cackle at my desk for 5 minutes. I think we managed to quote every line from that movie on my wedding day when we weren't quoting Steel Magnolias.

  • oilybohunk7

It is my user name for most things because Sixteen Candles is my favorite movie of all time. There are a lot of people that don't get it and think it is weird but the times where people start quoting the movie to me totally make up for it.

  • No Pithy Name

    Mike is a dork.

  • Okay I gotta point out the under-picture ads are hilariously on target with this post.

    Also, this:

It’s not pervy if you’re 12 at heart, guys.

I am SOOOOO calling the cops. I suggest errybody clear their history NOW.

  • Ian Fay

Hey guys, what's going on in this thread?

  • lowercase_ryan

This post just landed you on so many government watchlists, you don't even know.

  • bastich

Was Pajiba just bought out by Tiger Beat?

  • bastich

Since we're going in the wayback machine...

  • Sarah Carlson

And they asked about "The Lion King"?!

    JTT 4-Evah.

  • Legally Insignificant

Is it sad that I google-stalked Ari Westby to see how she turned out? Evidently, that precocious young lady loves skydiving.
