First, the semi-sad news; one of our favorite Beardy McBeardersons is losing his über-hot beard. It’s for a good cause, mind you, but still…let’s take a moment to ogle appreciate those whiskers for their added hotness invaluable contribution.

The Beard even merited a Tweetbye:

But as I mentioned, it’s all for a good cause — the debeardening kicks off a great Captain America run. As Evans mentions in his new Esquire interview, he’s about to begin filming Civil War with Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey, Jr., Sebastion Stan, Elizabeth Olsen, Frank Grillo, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman (as Black Panther), and Daniel Brühl — who has just confirmed **SPOILER** he’s playing Baron Helmut Zemo.

After a bit of downtime, Evans says the Avengers will re-gather for the back-to-back filming of Marvel’s two-part Infinity War (scheduled for release May 2018 and 2019), directed by the Russo Brothers. Shooting is expected to take roundabout “nine months,” so I guess we won’t be seeing that glorious beard again for quite some time. On the upside; we will be seeing plenty-o-this:

My favorite Esquire reveals? His brotherly relationship with Chris Hemsworth, and this:

“I got a real bad potty mouth. I’m from Boston. That’s kind of a way of life back there. They’re a very expressive people.”
