The weather’s getting sticky. The jorts are coming out. The frozen margaritas are seasonably acceptable. So it’s time we all start bickering over which bit of pop froth is the almighty song of the summer. While some might tell you it’s a jaunty love jam, or some pseudo-empowering warble, or a sexist shitshow, we’re here to say no. The song of the summer is hands down “Montage” from the boy-meets-corpse comedy Swiss Army Man.

Take a listen below:

It’s fun and bubbly! But what are they saying in these jaunty lyrics? The film’s distributor A24 has the answer with this deeply weird and delightful music video.

The Sundance movie Swiss Army Man had our interest from “Daniel Radcliffe plays a farting corpse jetski.” Then we were positively stoked to see A24—which released such mad wonders as Ex Machina, Slow West, Obvious Child and Under The Skin—would be distributing. The brand’s acquisition not only gave us fuller confidence that Swiss Army Man is a must-see, but also meant this totally strange film would get a fittingly fierce and fun marketing campaign. And the first trailer did not disappoint. Now all that’s left is to wait until Swiss Army Man hits theaters June 24th. But this earworm of a theme will help tide us over until then.

“Montage” will be released as a single on June 3rd.
