Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • I adore Domhnall Gleeson, but I don't know if that adorable ginger moppet can be very menacing.

  • zeke_the_pig

Dear god please not Eddie Redmayne.

  • Fabius_Maximus

Is it because of his looks? He's going to hide behind a mask most of the time.

  • zeke_the_pig

He just scares the shit out of me. Always looking like he's on the way to pick up his soul from the dry cleaners.

So in fact he might be a great choice.

  • BlackRabbit

He already has a supervillain-esque name, but you're right. If he's never played a douchey Fratboy Rapist type on some CSI/NCIS/ABCEFD type show, I'll eat my hat.

  • Equinox

Domhnall Gleeson for me, he has a slightly unearthly quality and he's a chip off the old man's block in regards to being a fantastic actor. I think he could bring real quality to the role.

  • oui

    Tom Cruise.

  • Bob Genghis Khan

    **Ctrl+F "Mads Mikkelsen"**
You guys, I think something's wrong, let me try again.

    Yeah something's definitely wrong.

  • Guest

Sam Riley (On the Road, Byzantium Control)

    Fixed it!

I'm all for Riley (not that I'm actually going to see F4).

Additional: Why not Matt Smith? (I'd actually see F4).

Additional Additional: Matt Smith is staring in a American Psycho the Musical!

  • I'll take Johnny Quid for a thousand, Jodi.

  • BlackRabbit

Well, Doom is an insane supervillain who's made deals with the devil. Being a ginger might be too much of an advantage.

  • BendinIntheWind

Aresnic. Because they're all terribly too "pretty boy".

  • foolsage

Sigh. This role really needs to go to Mads Mikkelsen.

  • Brian Merritt

This was going to be my comment! I understand that we're doing the Ultimate FF, but I think a more mature DD would work pretty well. I would love to see what Mads would do with the character.

  • Persiaa

Fine, as long as he still has time for Hannibal.

  • foolsage

Even if the FF are younger, that doesn't mean Doom needs to be. This role is meant for Mads.

  • Ryan Ambrose

Better not, otherwise the audience would never be able to root for the F4.

  • foolsage

I don't think that Loki's charisma hurt "The Avengers". :D

  • Ryan Ambrose

    Fair point, I concede.

  • Ryan Ambrose

Too bad Marvel didn't retain the rights to use Dr. Doom's native country, Latveria, in their following films.

A cold war brewing between Latveria and Wakanda could be a great premise for a future spy-thriller adaptation in the vein of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

  • Kebbell or Riley would be my choice. Riley really looks like Eastern European nobility. So right there, you'd have some of the choice in your favor.

More than anything, it's about gravitas with Doom. He's grandiose, larger than life and arguably the only human villain capable of taking over the Earth in the Marvel Universe

  • Sassy Pikachu

I really like Kebbell from Rocknrolla, and I also really love Riley, and I think both of them are capable actors. So basically... you read my mind.

  • ed newman

From that picture, Riley really looks like a grown up Eddie Munster.

  • Davis

Toby Kebbell but any of these will be a good choice, it's intriguing than any of the FF.
