Imagine John Wick meets The Raid with Jodie Foster as a no-nonsense nurse and you’ve got the premise of Hotel Artemis. It’s a movie that seems specially formulated to make the internet go insane thanks to a gonzo premise, the promise of unapologetic violence, and a cast that’s exploding with stars. I don’t even want to spoil it. Just take a look.
Yeah, you’re like cool, cool. Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, Dave Bautista, and Jeff Goldblum! And then it’s like, ‘Wait! Was that Jenny Slate too! WHAT IS THIS MOVIE!?’
1) Yes, it was Jenny Slate!
And 2) Hotel Artemis marks the feature directorial debut of Drew Pierce, a screenwriter who helped shape Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. So, our expectations for this star-stuffed and stylish action-triller just went from non-existent to through the damn roof.

Honestly, from this trailer we can’t decide if this looks epic, or like an epic disaster in the making. I mean, is this just too good to be tru(ly as bonkers as it seems)? But either way, you can bet we’ll be there to find out when Hotel Artemis hits theaters June 8th.
