I feel so comfortable in my glorious non-reading apathy, but I will stir myself just long enough to say WOW Ashley. That was fast.

Congrats! I hope to one year be anywhere close to that many books before the winner is announced. YAY ASHLEY!

I'm a huge dork :)

Posted by: Ashley at April 20, 2011 10:06 AM

Well done, Ashley! And thank you for reminding me I have ten (yes, 10) additional reviews that I need to write. Currently I'm dreading trying to write a review for "First Among Sequels" because I'm pretty sure any attempt I make to describe the plot will label me a lunatic. Brilliant book though, and against the rest of the Thursday Next series that is saying something.

Posted by: TylerDFC at April 20, 2011 10:06 AM

TylerDFC - don't worry I'm usually about 10 reviews behind at all times! I hadn't read the Thursday series so I'm going to add it to the list :)

Wow, well done, Ashley!

I've read ....um, like, 10 pages of Broom of the System. And like 2 of Game of Thrones. (To be fair, I picked them up Monday.)

TylerDFC, try writing about a collection of monster mash short stories that see zombies and aliens thrown at Huck Finn and Joseph McCarthy and then get back to me about sounding sane while describing Fforde's plots.

Congrats, Ashley.

Robert: What book is that? I think I need to read it.

Posted by: TylerDFC at April 20, 2011 10:31 AM

And in April! That is impressive, congrats Ashley!

Man, I've read maybe 20 books this year. I blame Instant Watch.

Posted by: Julie at April 20, 2011 10:40 AM

TylerDFC, it's called Classics Mutilated and it's from IDW Publishing. It's a strong collection. I'm particularly fond of of "Anne-Droid of Green Gables," myself.

Whoa! Congrats, Ashley! Damn, I've only hit a dozen books so far, and I'm lagging in reviews. Way to make me feel like a slacker.*

*I kid. I always feel like a slacker.

Julie, InstaCannonBallWatch. Let's make it happen.

Posted by: Ian at April 20, 2011 11:11 AM

Congratulations! I think I've read...four...maybe five?...books since this started. Granted, a few of them were Song Of Ice And Fire tomes.

Posted by: DarthCorleone at April 20, 2011 11:33 AM

Robert: Added it to the wishlist. Looks great! I like a lot of those authors, too.

Posted by: TylerDFC at April 20, 2011 11:35 AM

Congrats, Ashley! I'm only at 22 right now, which isn't too bad. I hope to do at least 60 for the year.

IAN. You are BRILLIANT. I would so win that contest. "WatchtheentiresecondseasonofParksandRecreationinonedayGO!!"

Not that I did that when my boyfriend hurt his knee. Not at all.

That header photo is amazing! Where is it from?

I found it via a simple Google Images search using the term, "books." I actually cropped it to fit better with the post. I found the original image on this web site. --TU

Great job Ashley! I'm jealous of your mad, fast reading skills.

Posted by: amy at April 20, 2011 12:30 PM

Holy crap, Ashley! Well done.

I'm only at 15, myself, but slow and steady and all that.

Posted by: Sara H at April 20, 2011 1:09 PM

Awesome job, Ashley. Guess I'll go write some reviews since I have about 10 to do.

Posted by: TWoP_Fan at April 20, 2011 1:17 PM

Congratulations Ashley!

Posted by: mswas at April 20, 2011 2:23 PM

Congrats Ashley! I'm not sure what review number I'm on, but I know there's a stack of books on the end table that need to be reviewed. Argh.

Rock on, Ashley!!! That's crazy!!

And I am down for a "Parks & Rec" marathon with any takers.

Posted by: Jelinas at April 20, 2011 7:21 PM

I said it before and I'll say it again, I am in awe of you!

I will totally jump in that Parks and Rec marathon idea too, I love me some Pawnee.

Congratulations Ashley!!

Congratulations to Ashley! I hope to catch up on mine as soon as this crazy move from FL to OR is finally over. Realized that I am thisclose to transitioning from pack rat to hoarder... how do you accumulate this much stuff in only 5 years?

Posted by: Az at April 21, 2011 12:24 AM

Congratulations Ashley!! From where I sit (a good 5 books behind schedule), you're a rockstar.
