Twitter Users Ponder the Greatest Facial Expressions From Film and TV

Is there a canvas greater and more alive with possibility than the human face? I love cinema that trades in grand and expansive landscapes as much as the next person, but there is something truly special about the infinite configurations, and the meanings thereof, that someone’s face can conjure up—and films that love expressions and know how to explore them are often some of my favourites. There was a Twitter prompt making the rounds the other day that explored this topic. It was asking people to think of some expressions from film and TV that they would never forget, and that has to be one of the most fertile prompts of all time. So, so many possible answers whizzed through my head, but the first two that came to mind most strongly in the moment I read the prompt were Sandoval’s (Guillermo Francella) face at the end of his speech in the ‘passion’ scene in The Secret in Their Eyes, and Park Doo-man’s (Song Kang-ho) in Memories of Murder.
