AITA is a Reddit staple, where posters propose a problem, how they dealt with it, then ask: Am I the *sshole? Thanks to the Twitter account @AITA_reddit, you don’t need to be on Reddit to get in on the fun of weighing in on strangers’ self-reflection. Often, these AITA quandaries spark passion, either because the poster is CLEARLY a jerk, or because they make you want to scream, “RUN, THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF A HORROR MOVIE.”

All this brings us to this curious post about a person, a girlfriend, and the mysterious box they won’t let her open:

“It’s just some stuff that is private and personal to me that I don’t want to talk about.” Cool cool. Twitter does want to talk about it.

Jokes aside, some users pointed to less murderous possibilities for the mystery box’s content, shedding some light on the reasons for secrecy.

Essentially, this debate can be distilled in one single tweet:

So, is the Reddit poster the *sshole? And more importantly, what is in the box!?
