Four Seasons Total Landscaping will go down in history as a stranger-than-fiction footnote. In an effort to delegitimize our democracy, the Trump Administration hastily planned a press conference in Philadelphia, not at the grandeur of the Four Seasons hotel. No. Rather than admit failure or misstep, Rudy Guliani turned up to the parking lot of Four Seasons Total Landscaping, a brick and mortar that sits between a sex shop and a crematorium. (The image above is the widest shot I could find of the location.) It was an event so absurd that it spurred DNC fundraiser t-shirts, online mockery, and now a hilariously highbrow meme.
To commemorate this moment, Twitter users began weaving Four Seasons Total Landscaping into quotes from great works of literature, from Dame Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca to J.D. Salinger’s Catcher In The Rye, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, and many, many more.
Last night I dreamed I went to Four Seasons Total Landscaping again.

If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you’ll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that Four Seasons Total Landscaping kind of crap

In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. Son, he said, Four Seasons Total Landscaping.

Four Seasons Total Landscaping, light of my life, fire of my loins, my sin, my soul. Four Seasons Total Landscaping: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of four steps down the palate to tap, at four, on the teeth. Four Seasons Total Landscaping. https://t.co/eOwThwoSUy

The sky above the Four Seasons Total Landscaping was the color of a television, tuned to a dead channel.@GreatDismal https://t.co/khBRDP8fCb

Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies Four Seasons Total Landscaping. https://t.co/VteK5DYZLJ

It had stood for 80 years and might stand for 80 more. Within, walls continued upright, bricks met neatly, floors were firm, and doors were sensibly shut. Silence lay steady against the wood and stone of Four Seasons Total Landscaping, and whatever walked there, walked alone. https://t.co/0K6dwLAfV2

Finally, this one is not from a book, but I wasn’t NOT going to include it:
“four seasons total landscaping, you can point to it on a map but it’s not simply a location. It’s a location of the mind" pic.twitter.com/aPYDWKRGTs
