OK. But What Does Jennifer Aniston Think About 'Game of Thrones'?

The more I deep dive into Anistonology at Pajiba, the more I lose my sense of self. It’s getting bad, friends. When faced with a difficult question, instead of asking myself “WWMDD?” (What would my dentist do?—the answer is always, floss) I find myself asking, “WWJAD?” (What would Jennifer Aniston do?) and, well, it’s making my life hard because the answer isn’t always so clear-cut as just floss.

See, I know that I kind of hate the latest season of Game of Thrones because people are behaving like boneheads, and this is not supposed to be a show about people behaving like boneheads (unlike Vanderpump Rules.) Also, I’m not happy with the direction they’ve taken the Night King in, for obvious reasons.

What I don’t know is if this is a valid feeling about season 8 of Game of Thrones because I don’t know what Jennifer Aniston thinks about this season. See? It’s getting tough. Where does Kate Hudson, person with a low credit score and two cats end, and Kate Hudson, Anistonologist with a light (but intense) guinea pig allergy, begin?!

Well, it’s time to do some research and see if I can’t get an answer for me (and for you.) We need this.

First, we’re going to go to Google to see if Jen has ever spoken about GOT, before.

Crap. That Google search showed up nothing useful.

We’re going to have to use our brains for something other than memorizing the lyrics to Top That from Teen Witch in various languages in case ever challenged to a funky rap battle while in Japan or France, or any country, really.

So, Jen has been very vocal about her love for a few shows, primarily Ozark, which I’ll quote below.

Per Harper’s Bazaar:

“My current Netflix binge is Ozark. It’s brilliant.”

And Who.com.au:

What are the shows you binged or watch every week?

Well, The Crown I love. Ozark, obviously, it’s so good. I try to get into Handmaid’s Tale, but it’s really hard to watch. It’s too much.

OK friends, we have to put on our logic hats here, and try to suss out what Jen feels about GOT this season.

We can tell that she enjoys royal intrigue because she loves The Crown, which is all about the English monarchy. Additionally, we can tell that she enjoys shows about machinations, because Ozark is one of her fav shows, and that’s about a guy (Jason Bateman, from Hogan’s Family) who has to launder money for a drug cartel because of reasons. So, clearly, Jen must also like it when things are tense and the stakes are high. I mean, I’ve never watched Ozark but I feel like that’s probably the vibe of that show since cartel-adjacent dramas aren’t usually light romps through the ups and downs of running a drug operation. However, she says The Handmaid’s Tale is hard to watch, which is probably due to the gendered violence in the show, which Game of Thrones has in abundance.

Look, I know you didn’t come here to read this back and forth without getting a definitive answer, here—and I am nothing if decisive in everything I do. So here’s what I think Jen thinks of Game of Thrones so you can file this knowledge away accordingly.

I think Jen, like basically everyone else out there, probably watches Game of Thrones but she’s probably not all about the violence. Additionally, she’s most likely one of those people who is glad that the Night King/White Walkers/everyone-turning-into-ice-zombies thing is over, because it seems like she prefers political intrigue over all-out violence and war. So, I think she’s definitely watching the last season but I also think she’s not really bothered about it ending, because it doesn’t seem like a real fit with her other favorite tv shows.

So, I mean, whilewe don’t know, definitively, what Jennifer Aniston thinks about Game of Thrones (but have a slightly better than vague idea on the matter) we do know what T-pain thinks, so I think we all can sleep easy tonight.
