Conservatives want you to think the real victim of the Me Too movement are the men accused of sexual misconduct and rape. Poor Brett Kavanaugh had to defend himself and his love of beer before being appointed to the highest court in America! Poor convicted rapist Brock Turner is labeled a sexual predator just because he sexually assaulted an unconscious woman behind a dumpster! Poor Louis C.K. might be mildly uncomfortable as he returns to his preferred hunting grounds! Poor Donald Trump must ignore the 22 women accusing him of sexual misconduct while trying to rewrite history by acting like the Kavanaugh hearing was a court of law that exonerated him instead of a job interview/Republican charade! WHY WILL NO ONE THINK OF THE MEN!
Well, one bold woman did. Navy mom Marla Reynolds thought of her son, who she claims is too frightened of Me Too and ax-grinding, radical feminists to dare date in this “current climate.” And she took her message of “Him Too” to Twitter.
Her mentions quickly became a place of mockery and hilarity.
these are MY sons. they are perfect gentlemen, serve in the navy, and refuse to go on dates with women because of the current climate of accusations and NOT BECAUSE OF ANYTHING ELSE pic.twitter.com/TN5rirC36s

This is my large adult son. He’s a successful financial planner who works at the stock market and does businesses. Won’t some lucky lady go on a date with this stud? #HimToo pic.twitter.com/h344eUQrML

This is my son. He will not go on dates because he is looking for his bike in the basement at the Alamo #HimToo pic.twitter.com/xduozrjM0b

Then her ridiculous anti-feminist tweet became a delicious meme, running free and wild on Twitter.
This is MY son. He graduated #1 in Army. He is a gentleman who respects women. He won't go on solo dates due to the current climate of false sexual accusations by radical feminists with an axe to grind. I VOTE. #HimToo pic.twitter.com/sZYQyg72of

This is MY son. He graduated #1 from the University of Flavortown. He was awarded three banging fajita poppers. He was #1 in flamin' hot crunch. He won't go on solo dates due to the current climate of false accusations of taking the last slice of pizza. I VOTE. #HimToo pic.twitter.com/4DY151a2W7

This is MY son. He singlehandedly runs a small hotel. He's a homeowner. He knows a boy's best friend is his mother. He goes a little mad sometimes. He won't go on solo dates due to the current climate of false accusations by radical anti-shower-stabbing feminists. I VOTE. #HimToo pic.twitter.com/qSYY7Cy46E

This is MY son. He graduated top of his class from a radioactive sewer. He won't go on solo dates, because women are trying to have sex with him too hard. I VOTE #HimToo pic.twitter.com/3C7L1NaJqd

This is My son. He graduated #1 in his class at Nazareth High. He is a gentleman who loves women and respects virgins like his mother. He is afraid to go on solo dates with women because he is afraid they will lie and say he made them wash his feet.

That, plus he’s gay.#HimToo pic.twitter.com/sMR88fggAQ
Unsurprisingly, @MarlaReynoldsC3 deleted her tweet and Twitter account. But this Twitter madness has achieved the rare happy ending! It began when Navy Mom’s other son, Jon Hanson, came forward to spill the tea.
My brother is trending on twitter because of my moms ridiculous tweet. I’m a mixture of laughing hard and feeling bad for him. #HimToo pic.twitter.com/YG93x9ikii
— Jon Hanson (@DancinJonHanson) October 9, 2018
She made it up
— Jon Hanson (@DancinJonHanson) October 9, 2018
He’s making one but we are on the phone with the media right now. Crazy.
— Jon Hanson (@DancinJonHanson) October 9, 2018
And finally her MY SON identified himself. Pieter Hanson created a Twitter account (@Thatwasmymom) to set the record straight, and with a self-deprecating posing.
That was my Mom. Sometimes the people we love do things that hurt us without realizing it. Let’s turn this around. I respect and #BelieveWomen . I never have and never will support #HimToo . I’m a proud Navy vet, Cat Dad and Ally. Also, Twitter, your meme game is on point. pic.twitter.com/yZFkEjyB6L

Hanson then went on to share his love of his mom, Ellen Degeneres, Ron Swanson, and his cats.
So I’ve since learned that becoming internet famous is the best way force people to look at pictures of your cats. So here we go pic.twitter.com/uQgbRrWmoF

In an interview with BBC, Hanson assured he’s not afraid to go on dates. Of his mother’s viral tweet, he said, “I was dumbfounded when I saw it, but at the end of the day we all have crazy parents,” adding, “I still love her. She’s my mum. What she said was pretty inflammatory, but I want to make sure it doesn’t come back harsh on her.”
Lastly, he credited his brother Jon with being “an incredible voice of reason” in this weird and very public family incident. And both Hansons are looking to use this spotlight to draw attention to a cause dear to them. “I’ve been working for years to support the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society,” he said. “My little brother is a cancer survivor. I’ve had limited reach, but now with this, it’s a good opportunity to support a cause I really believe in. I’m trying to use this as an avenue to raise awareness for my little brother. He’s an incredible person, and he’s my personal hero.”
I’m new at this… so this time with pictures ! So #negativeintopositives my little brother Cooper is a child survivor of non hodgkin lymphoma and my personal hero. Please donate to @LLSusa @MakeAWish pic.twitter.com/65Zeay8vPa
