After yet another deadly school shooting — this time in Santa Fe High School in Texas — the bodies of our children and their teachers continue to pile up. A college sophomore named Andrew Schneidawind started the hashtag #IfIDieInASchoolShooting to allow terrified children and educators to share what they will miss, what they want the world to know, and other heartbreaking things that they shouldn’t have to worry about.
I'm gonna try and get a hashtag trending called #IfIdieInASchoolShooting. If you wanna join, feel free. #IfIdieInASchoolShooting I will never be able to finish my animated TV series, I'll never be able to see my sister again, and I will have to become a martyr. #NeverAgain

I am going to try my best to include all these tweets in envelopes, I'm going to send them to many politicians including Mitch Mcconnell and Paul Ryan. They need to see this. #IfIDieInASchoolShooting

#IfIdieInASchoolShooting politicize my death. It’s not too soon to talk about guns. It’s too late.

#IfIDieInASchoolShooting plaster my face outside of every politician Who accepts money from the NRA’s office so every day as they walk into work they have to look into the eyes of someone who died because of their inaction and think of their own children or someone they know.

#IfIDieInASchoolShooting deliver my heart to dana loesch on a silver platter because she’s a heartless woman and clearly needs a new one.

#IfIDieInASchoolShooting it’s because I will be a human shield over my students before I see any of them not get a chance to live past 8 years old

#IfIDieInASchoolShooting Please politicize tf out of my death. Please use my pictures, life, and story to push for common sense gun laws. Please use my stolen voice and make sure it never becomes another statistic. Please use my death as activism to prevent others from dying.

#IfIDieInASchoolShooting, I hope it was instead of one of my precious students. Also, politicize thr f*** out of it. Yell, scream, cuss — and don't stop. Tolerate no BS 2nd amendment rhetoric.
