In case you don’t follow him on Twitter, you should know that David Simon—creator of The Wire, the greatest television drama ever made—is a sharp-tongued motherfucker who uses the social media site like an assassin. Not one to suffer fools, Simon is not shy of unleashing a precision-engineered torrent of rage at anyone who come at him with nonsense, each Tweet more a poison-tipped blow dart straight into an idiotic jugular rather than a collection of words. If Hunter S Thompson were still alive today, and if he was on Twitter, I’d imagine he’d use the site somewhat like Simon does.
