David Simon's Twitter Feed is a Feast of Righteous Rage
In case you don’t follow him on Twitter, you should know that David Simon—creator of The Wire, the greatest television drama ever made—is a sharp-tongued motherfucker who uses the social media site like an assassin. Not one to suffer fools, Simon is not shy of unleashing a precision-engineered torrent of rage at anyone who come at him with nonsense, each Tweet more a poison-tipped blow dart straight into an idiotic jugular rather than a collection of words. If Hunter S Thompson were still alive today, and if he was on Twitter, I’d imagine he’d use the site somewhat like Simon does. Simply put: If you’re a fan of righteous rage and poetry-esque putdowns, you should absolutely follow David Simon on Twitter. Here, a teaser to tempt you in:
That the man or woman who invented this structure so that children could hurl themselves relentlessly through space while unworried parents drink beer and margaritas is not yet in possession of a Nobel is a mockery of all progressive thought. pic.twitter.com/1XGMZYy4jA— David Simon (@AoDespair) April 21, 2018
