She’s brazen; she speaks her mind; she calls people out; and she uses Twitter incredibly well. If Democrats could create the perfect opponent for Donald Trump, it would be Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, except for that whole too young and inexperienced thing. But she is the model — someone that might inspire so much passion that she could actually deliver on insane ideas like Medicare for all. How do we get a 43-year-old version of her with two terms in the House and one in the Senate?

We wait until 2032. Until then, follow her lead, Democrats. Make yourself accessible by talking policy while making dinner on Instagram.

Come up with a few common sense ideas like this:

When conservatives on the right make fun of you for ridiculous reasons, don’t defend yourself. Own it. And instead of focusing on the fight, refocus it on policy:

And when some shitty two-bit has-been “politician” calls you out for a slip of the tongue, well, this is how you handle it:

And yes, that was Sarah Palin — SARAH PALIN — taking issue with Ocasio-Cortez’s knowledge of civics based on nothing. From Sarah Palin’s blog:

Amid her triumph on November 6th, in New York’s 14th congressional district, Ocasio-Cortez mistakenly said Congress has three chambers during a video call uploaded to social media.

She quickly corrected herself in the subsequent sentence before then misidentifying the “three chambers of government.”

Ocasio-Cortez said: “If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress — Uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House,” the congresswoman-elect said. “We can’t start working in 2020.”

That’s all you got? A slip of the tongue that she immediately corrected. And I’m not even gonna get into the hypocrisy of Sarah Palin calling out someone for their lack of civics knowledge. I’m gonna let others do that:

Look at that ratio, people!

Point being: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a goddamn godsend.
