This isn’t like the Ice Bucket Challenge, where celebs and their fans did a silly stunt for fundraising. This is an ad campaign/contest meant almost solely to promote Paqui’s Carolina Reaper Madness One Chip Challenge Tortilla Chip. According to its own marketing, it’s “the World’s Hottest Chip made with the hottest chile pepper on the planet.” And the challenge is that you eat this single chip that comes in a coffin-shaped box, and not drink water or esophagus-saving milk. That’s it.

There are plenty of videos under the hashtag #OneChipChallenge, which show people losing their minds as this onslaught of spiciness hits them in torturous waves. But we’ve collected the three best videos that show the biggest freak outs and the chillest reactions side by side.

First up, Rahel Solomon and Jim Donovan, a news team in Philadelphia, did the One Chip Challenge. Come for Donovan’s meltdown, stay for Solomon’s superhuman chill.

And here’s the aftermath. Donovan has been through it.

Next up, Kristen Bell and Michael Peña face off for Ellen. One of them is in a good place with this, the other one needs to let it go.

Lastly, Phillip Schofield of This Morning took the One Chip Challenge, and to his credit holds out longer than the known world record. But the real winner here? Alison Hammond, the brilliant woman who opted out and just enjoyed a bowl of ice cream the whole time.

You might remember her from the greatest Blade Runner 2049 interview. Hammond wins at life.
