We Miss D10

Matt Smith was a great doctor. Peter Capaldi is even better. But Tennant will forever remain the best, and anyone who disagrees is probably voting for Ted Cruz. It was nice seeing David Tennant pop up for a season on Jessica Jones, and I enjoyed him on the first season of Broadchurch and I even endured the hopelessly dreary Single Father hoping to get a whiff of that old D10 magic, but it’s not the same. The fun, frivolous 10th Doctor can only be truly experienced by watching his run on Who.

Or, for a few fleeting seconds, in an intro on The Late Show, where Tennant played a variation of “Who’s on First” with Colbert.

Maybe that’s how they solve regeneration limit, once considered to be 13: After Capaldi, just bring back Tennant. It’s not a regeneration! It’s a regresseration!
