Watch Bill Hader Be a Master of EVERYTHING in This Supercut of All His SNL Impressions

Bill Hader is making a hell of a transition out of Saturday Night Live. He’s in two movies that had limited releases this past weekend, The Skeleton Twins (yay!) and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (snore), and it’s pretty amazing to watch those movies back to back. Because despite just playing two regular guys, they’re unbelievably distinct characters. His physicality, his voice, even his whole face seem totally different. (And yes, I know Rigby was filmed like two years ago, so maybe he lost weight or something, but I’m gonna call it ACTING.)

Watching him own two normal-dude (as in neither of them is James Carville) characters like that makes sense when you realize that during his time at SNL, he impersonated over 80 famous (and famousish) people. That number is staggering. Because yeah, comedy chops are no rare thing on that show, but this ability to transform so completely, to fit that many different already-existing characters is an incredible gift. If you don’t understand why this is so impressive, allow Andy Samberg to elucidate.

In honor of Hader’s return to host SNL, the supergeniuses over at Vulture have cut together every one of those impressions. It’s not embeddable, so you’ll have to head over to Vulture to watch it, and I recommend that you do. Seriously 80+ impressions. You’ve got Bowie:
