Matthew McConaughey has done a series of car commercials for Lincoln and they are likely the closest thing we’re going to get to more True Detective Season 1. With no Woody Harrelson declaring the car a place of quiet reflection, this super hot version of Cohle is free to let his speculations on the nature of man, time, and the universe wander.

We are also introduced to McConaughey’s spirit animal, Cyrus* the bull.

*The first time I watched this, I for sure thought he called the bull Osiris, and it absolutely made sense that McConaughey would recognize this bull as the Egyptian god of death.
