X-Men: Days of Product Placement sure does have its mutant hand in a lot of junk food right now. First there were the Carl’s Jr ads that suggested Quicksilver was tougher than Mystique (gag me). Now there’s this almost-clever Pringles commercial, which constructs an elaborate machine to get the last chip out of the can, using manufactured mutant powers. And while yes, Wolverine may choose to slice the can to get the chip, I’m pretty sure Magneto would just turn it upside down.
It’s reminiscent of those compilation videos of the people from infomercials who can’t do simple tasks like open a cabinet or pick up a glass. I mean really, just turn the damn can upside down. Problem solved and chip acquired!
