‘We human beings are not born with prejudices. Always they are made for us. Made by someone who wants something.’

In 1943 the U.S. War Department released a short educational film warning Americans not to fall for fascist rhetoric. They then re-released the film in 1947. The war had ended but fascism had not gone away.

70 years later, after the events of this weekend, maybe it deserves another watch.

Ignore the slightly rose-tinted view and the underlying smell of hypocrisy that comes with a video produced in 40’s America preaching inclusion, because away from that this is powerful, relevant stuff.
