This Breathtaking Man of Steel Title Sequence Is Almost Certainly Better than the Real Thing

I have a lot of faith in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel despite Snyder’s track record, mostly because of Christopher Nolan’s participation, and because the last trailer put giant Esses on my goosebumps. Whether the story works out is a huge question, but the visuals will undoubtedly be fantastic.

With that said, however, I’m not sure that Zack Snyder and team will top the Man of Steel title sequence created by Will & Tale, a creative production company in Los Angeles. As Patrick Lee, one of the producers writes:

It’s the life of Clark Kent told through the voices of the world. This is a passion project we pursued in our free time for the past 3 months. No pre-existing Man of Steel footage was used. We created all the 2D/3D animations, compositing, in-camera article UI and designs, voiceover recordings, etc. Even the score was composed exclusively for this project.

It is simply breathtaking.

If you’re so inclined, you can also read more about the title sequence in Will & Tale’s behind-the-scenes blog.
