There’s lots to love in Disney’s latest princess movie, Moana. You know this. It is known. Chief among these things is a killer soundtrack with original songs by Samoan singer/songwriter Opetaia Foa’i, award-winning composer Mark Mancina, and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. And chief among these is the bizarre but beautifully Bowie-inspired ditty “Shiny.”

Sung by Flight of the Conchords Jemaine Clemente, this villain jam contains some spoilers. But mostly it’s a rousing and catchy proclamation to the joys of making one’s self, well, shiny.

You’re welcome.

Kristy Puchko has had this song stuck in her head for a month now. And she’s not mad at it.
