Couple things:

1) Seth Meyers redesigned his set over a recent break, and it looks so much better, and more comfortable. Well done. The previous couches were giving me back pains.

2) In a segment called “Couple things,” Meyers is doing is doing some John-Oliver lite here, or a different iteration of “REALLY?!” It works. I like it. Basically, it’s 12 minutes shorter than an Oliver segment, and trades self-righteous anger for self-righteous whimsy. Meyers needs something to help differentiate his show.

3) Meyers hits upon the one thing that hasn’t been that discussed, although it was something the staff and I touched upon yesterday, which is basically how awesome it is that celebrities send nude photos to each other. It is cool to live in a world where technology allows up to swap nude photos with our sex partners, and doing so — as Emily wrote about — it means they are prioritizing their sexual lives. Good for them.

4) He also hit upon several familiar beats about victim blaming, and how the “hackers” are actually “thieves,” but the rehashed points sound fresh and charming coming from a late-night host.
