Nick Offerman spoke this weekend at the Congressional Radio and Television Correspondents’ Dinner, though he was sans mustache, which is always an unsettling sight. Offerman’s style of deadpan broken by the occasional high pitched giggle is perfect, and he doesn’t pull any punches here. He goes after politicians, the media, corporations, and stupid people in general. The whole thing is definitely worth a watch, but if you’re short on time (really? What’s more important than this?), at least watch his rant against the cable merger at the 7:25 mark (“According to the Supreme Court, corporations are now considered as people, which is great because it’s always been my dream to punch Time Warner in the face”) and his Bill of Rights refresher course at 10:25 (“Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism…Just because the government can’t punish you for saying something stupid doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t).
Vivian Kane had made it two weeks without an Offerman post. Now she has to give that chip back.
