Maybe Adam Sandler's Most Unforgivable Movie Yet: 'The Cobbler' Trailer
I’m sure this trailer will make some people happy, but I’m not one of them.
It’s a slightly hacky premise, but it seems really promising. The overall Sandlerness of his performance is toned down, and the talent assembled makes me think that the story might not be garbage. So why am I not happy?
Because it means this son of a bitch knew what he was doing.
He knew when he did Grown- Ups and Grown- Ups 2. He looked us straight in the eye and said, “I could do something decent, but instead here’s Jack and Jill.” And when no one liked that he made it up to us by shitting That’s My Boy all over the place. I thought he’d lost his ability to tell sophomoric funny from immature nonsense, but he hadn’t. He just didn’t care.
To hell with you, Sandler. Big Daddy is dead to me.
