Key & Peele Take on Stan Lee's Lack of Relevancy, Cause Comic-Con Riots (We Assume)

Key and Peele gave up a lot of great information today at their Comic-Con panel. They’re working on an animated series for Comedy Central, writing and starring in a Judd Apatow movie, and also developing another movie called Keanu, in which the titular character is a cat (that is hopefully, Godtopus willing, a Freaky Friday-type situation with Keanu Reeves and his pet).

They also showed a clip from season four of their show. This season of Key & Peele will have some great guest stars (Ty Burrell, Rashida Jones, Retta, Chelsea Peretti, Jason Ritter), but they didn’t show anything with any of them. No, they chose the biggest comics (they still have some stuff related to comics, right) convention in the world to take on the nerd-ssiah. A little whiteface, some heightened irrelevancy, a few characters stuck in the 80s, and you’ve got yourself a Stan Lee.
