Short, simple and to the point. If you choose to come out, Pennsylvania Senator Jim Ferlo will show you how. Speaking today at a press conference supporting measures (Senate Bill 42 and House Bill 177) to extend the state’s hate crime laws to include lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, Ferlo made his matter of fact “I’m gay, get over it, I love it” remarks to much cheering.
Representative Brian Sims also spoke fervently about the need to protect the state’s “million” LGBTs, pounding his fist as he demands the same rights as everybody else. My kind of people.

“Hundreds of people know I’m gay, I just never made it an official declaration. I never felt I had to wear a billboard on my forehead.”
I love this guy.
