Apparently three attempts. Or maybe two and a half depending on how you want to count it. Just to make sure everyone’s caught up, here’s what happened last Wednesday:
Just a couple of things I need to address:
1.) And I cannot stress this enough, the phrase “boobs on the ground” is wildly inaccurate. Major al- Mansouri is a fighter pilot. If she is on the ground in enemy territory, something has gone very wrong.
2.) That is a shocking level of disrespect to show any active duty military member. Trying to ignore the blatant sexism for a minute, maybe we can all agree that soldiers, their gender and any part of their physical appearance shouldn’t be made the butt of a joke, ok?
Bolling clearly felt the backlash from his comment though, and quickly made a sincere and thorough apology. Oh, wait, no, that’s not what happened at all. The following day he made a half- assed “sorry if you were offended” apology complete with naggy-wife reference.
Definitely my favorite part is Kimberly Guilfoyle’s attempt to salvage the apology. She’s trying so hard to make this work.
Clearly that’s not a real apology. So Bolling had to take a second stab at it Friday night.
Yes, that’s the problem. That we took the joke the wrong way. Lucky he recovers well enough to continue the sincere and obviously written by someone in PR statement. Way to go, Eric. Nailed it.
