Hold On To Your Butts, 'The Good Place' Just Gave Us The Year's Most Beautiful Wedding

I understand that some people are still not watching The Good Place. I mean, I don’t understand it, but I know that it is a true thing. The show returned on Thursday after its winter break, and, kids, it was amazing. It had the standard jokes about hair extensions (“Stay away from open flames, and altercations at outlet malls”), British TV (“It’s Deidre and Margaret. It ran for sixteen years on the BBC. They made nearly thirty episodes”), and, as always, the importance of frozen yogurt (“It’s the only thing keeping this neighborhood together”). But most importantly, last week’s episode was about love. Fake Eleanor thinking she might be in love with Chidi, Tahani deciding Chidi is in love with her, Fake Eleanor considering, wait, maybe she’s in love with Jianyu, and, in the grandest of all pairings, Jiaynu aka Jason Mendoza deciding he’s in love with Janet aka the Good Place’s AI help desk.

And before you judge their love, witness it. WITNESS IT.

That is, simply put, the most beautiful wedding ever filmed. THIS IS FACT. It’s also the only wedding since August of 2000 to play N’Sync’s “Digital Get Down.” Meaning it’s also the coolest wedding ever filmed.

Best of luck to the happy couple!
