On this weekend’s Last Week Tonight, John Oliver let us all know that he would responding to former FIFA president Jack Warner’s crazy paid political message The Gloves Are Off, and that he would be responding on Warner’s own chosen platform: by buying airtime on Trinidad and Tobago television. And since Oliver is a noted man of his word, his own message, The Mittens of Disapproval Are On aired tonight, sandwiched between an episode of 24 and one of Mike and Molly.

In the video, Oliver urges Warner to follow through with his threat to release his incriminating FIFA documents. John makes the excellent point of… why wouldn’t he? As he puts it, “I’ve been looking through the indictment and… good luck with that.” Plus there’s the added bonus of everybody loving an informant. “Snitches get smooches,” right?
