When you think back and remember the release of Robin Thicke’s creepy video about his wife, “Get Her Back,” the one with the terrifying images of a woman drowning and scary texts and things like that, do you think a) that was an incredibly upsetting trigger warning of a video, rightfully rejected by the entire world, or b) something totally awesome, sexy and easily pulled off by an attractive individual with sick abs?
If you’re Adam Levine of Maroon 5, you thought b and you thought it hard, starring your wife with a side of animal blood.
OK. I don’t quite know what to do with all of this.
We as a nation (except for one troll of a NY Post writer and some MRA Redditors) recently came together and said catcalling is not a compliment. You know what’s REALLY not a compliment? Stalking. You know what’s super not sexy or OK or fetishable? Stalking.
Adam. Douchepuppy. No. You need to no. Know that this is no. No, know? Because no. Everything is no.
I feel like I shouldn’t have to tell you that stalking is bad. But I feel like I don’t have to tell you a lot of things, and yet here we are. So, basically, stalking is bad. It doesn’t matter how good looking some people find you, or how many visible ab muscles you have. You can’t sexy your way out of creepy. Creepy. Sexy. DIFFERENT THINGS. Never the twain shall meet. Especially not dipped in pig’s blood.
Like, I’m not even ready to be done yet. I don’t have anything else I know how to say to make this clearer, and I’m still not ready to hit “save” on this post. Because I’m so CONFUSED. I’m ANNOYED. I’m CONFOYED. There’s a part in this video where the woman is asleep and he PULLS HER SHEET DOWN. HE SLEEP TOUCHES HER. WITH A CAMERA. Why is this? What is this? WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS OK?
I mean…guys, do you not know women don’t like this? Guys, women don’t like this. Now you know. Neat!
