About the Line-Crossing 'Billy on the Street' Segment with Neil Patrick Harris That Won't Be Allowed on TV

The third season of Billy on the Street debuted last night, and while I admit the show initially really grated on my nerves, I eventually came around to it and appreciated it for the splendid wonder that it is. Here’s a segment from last night’s season premiere, where he offers random people on the streets of New York City a dollar to answer a silly question or perform a small task.

What else do we have to look forward to this season? Apparently, Lena Dunham milking a cow in the Meatpacking District, according to Rolling Stone, a segment which ended up going sideways when the cow took a sh*t on the street in front of several restaurants with outdoor seating.

What we will not be allowed to see, however, is the full Neil Patrick Harris segment that, uh, crossed the line. From RS:

Your discussions can sometimes veer into the taboo. Have you ever had to cut a segment because it was just too “out there” to air?

There was one game that I played with Neil Patrick Harris — it’s about anal sex —that I’m not going to be allowed to put on TV. Maybe it will end up online, maybe it won’t. I mean, come on: It’s Neil Patrick Harris! “When in Rome,” as they say. He was totally game and we had a great time, but I think we might have crossed a line in how many times I said the words “anal sex.”

And now, of course, I basically need to see that segment. Neil Patrick Harris riffing on anal sex is probably one of the seven greatest wonders of television, along with the Turk Dance, Ron Swanson’s smile, and the death of Mischa Barton’s character on The O.C..
