Let Us Harness The Powers Of Twitter To Make Movie Magic Once More

Thanks to a certain president*, Twitter has gone from a place of fiery bickering and rampant silliness to a website of global importance. But sometimes, it still gets to just be strange and wonderful, like that time a tweet went viral and birthed a new movie directed by Ava DuVernay, written by Issa Rae, and starring Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o.

Sometimes Twitter makes miracles. And we could use a new one thanks to another proposed movie pitch/pic pairing that’s made our knees weak:

Are you screaming? Do you need to take a moment to yourself in your bunk? You are not alone, friend. Imagining the combined sexual charisma of Stanley Tucci and Jeff Goldblum is a prospect so heady we marvel no one in Hollywood has ever achieved it. Is there some weird casting rule that you can only have one eccentric silver fox per film? If so, we’ve got lawyers on staff. We will resolve this.

But Twitter wasn’t through being brilliant. What more could you want from a Tucci/Goldblum movie beyond mature allure and the promise of exposed forearms masterfully making drool-inspiring meals? (Maybe they knead dough together like a yummy nod to Ghost!) Twitter has more ideas.

Dear Hollywood, make this happen. Our thirst is real.
