We mentioned a few weeks ago that Hugh Grant would be starring in a mockumentary about 2020 from Charlie Brooker, the creator of Black Mirror, and lo and behold: Here is the trailer, in which Leslie Jones sums up the year succinctly: “I’d say it was a trainwreck and a sh*tshow, but that’s an insult to trains and sh*t.”
The film is set to arrive before the end of 2020 — December 27th, to be exact. The mockumentary “weaves together a chorus of narration from some of the world’s most (fictitious) renowned voices with real-life archival footage spanning the past 12 months.” It stars Samuel Jackson, Hugh Grant, Kumail Nanjiani, Tracey Ullman, Samson Kayo, Lisa Kudrow, Leslie Jones, Cristin Milioti, Joe Keery, and Laurence Fishburne.
