I know that we have written a lot about Michelle Wolf already and that perhaps you’re tired of the Michelle Wolf coverage, but the important thing to consider here is: No one asked you.

I can’t get enough of it, and even though I can already cite 72 instances of hypocrisy where it concerns the GOP response to Wolf’s “mean” jokes and “personal insults,” it’s much more amusing with clips and a late-night host like Trevor Noah — who worked with Wolf until last December — cracking jokes in defense of his former colleague.

I wonder if she was mean to him, too?

For the record, Wolf doesn’t regret a thing, as she told Terry Gross on “Fresh Air” last night:

“I wouldn’t change a single word that I said. I’m very happy with what I said, and I’m glad I stuck to my guns,” she told Gross.

She added that before her performance, a friend handed her a note that said: “Be true to yourself. Never apologize. Burn it to the ground.”

Also, why are we just now deciding that WHCD speeches are mean? Colbert’s was mean, and he did it in front of President Bush, who — sitting alongside his wife — didn’t receive the speech well. Colbert was also criticized for a few days for that speech, but it remains perhaps the most memorable in the history of that speech.

Likewise, 12 years from now, people are going to remember Michelle Wolf’s speech, as well.
