Welcome to Spooky Season (Official)! I’m dedicating this week to all things spooky, creepy, bloody, and scary. But don’t worry; there’s more about where these came from.
Our Horror King With The Chin is back in this month’s Peacock series HYSTERIA! Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead) and Julie Bowen (Totally Killer) star in this show that hits on the satanic panic of the ’80s and the strength of using Satan as a marketing ploy.
HYSTERIA! also stars Emjay Anthony (Krampus) and Chiara Aurelia (Fear Street Part Two: 1978) and begins streaming on Peacock October 18th.
Also on Peacock this month (really making me regret ending that subscription over the summer, folks) is Teacup. A series about a spooky kid with a not-so-imaginary friend who traps his family and friends on a farm.
Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale), Scott Speedman (Underworld), and Rob Morgan (Don’t Look Up) star in this eight-episode series that premieres on Peacock on October 10th.
Ella Purnell (Fallout) is here to remind us that it’s always the quiet ones you have to watch out for in Starz’s new limited series, Sweetpea.
See what happens when you push us over the edge? Never underestimate a small woman with a sharp knife.
Sweetpea also stars Calam Lynch (Dunkirk), Nicôle Lecky (Sense8), Tim Samuels, and Leah Harvey (Foundation). It premieres on Starz on October 10th.
For this week’s lagniappe, some enterprising weirdos dove into the r/NoSleep subreddit and put together a horror anthology series from its most viral stories. Tales From the Void will be available to stream on Screambox (I don’t know what that is but I probably want it) with two new episodes every Sunday night beginning on October 13th.
