The Full Season 2 'Orange is the New Black' Trailer Is Next Level Crazy
When the first season of Orange is the New Black came out on Netflix after the far more heavily touted House of Cards and Arrested Development, it was like one of those awesome Internet finds. We had little expectations for it, and nobody ran to their iPads when it was released with the intention of binge watching. But it was a show that compelled us to binge watch, because it was so good. Within a week of its release, word of mouth had blown that series up. For two or three weeks last summer, it was like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad: All anyone talked about online. It was a fantastic time.
Season two, which arrives on June 6th, comes saddled with expectations. It’s no longer a cast of unknowns. We know them well now. It’s no longer a happy find. It’s a legit show, and now it has to thrive in an environment where there is no more thrill of discovery. Can it do so?
The season two trailer suggests that yeah, maybe.
