The first season of FX’s The Bear was so good and so realistic that none of my friends who work Back Of House were able to watch it without having panic attacks, or flashbacks to bad jobs. The crew at the dive formerly known as “The Original Beef of Chicagoland” is starting “fresh and clean” with an entirely new concept and menu for season two. That comes with a kind of stress that means it’s another season my industry friends probably won’t be able to watch. But I shall consume it with gusto.
It’s a shame they’re releasing all of the episodes at once and not giving us weekly content to enjoy like a multi-course meal. Instead, we’ll all rush through it on the first weekend, hoping that the Gods Of Internet Algorithms recognize its popularity enough to keep it going for another season. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, Matty Matheson, and Oliver Platt all return for this season of The Bear and all of the episodes will be available to stream on Hulu beginning on June 22nd.
