Teresa Giudice first talked about her beef with Sofia Vergara during a “Gettin’ Real With The Housewives” panel discussion in 2017 in which she explained that her PR person told her to take a picture with Vergara at a media event, but Vergara snubbed her by standing in front of her for the picture. Giudice then allegedly heard Vergara tell her PR person that she didn’t want to take the picture.

“You would think that she would be nice, you know, like, she’s an immigrant,” Giudice, the daughter of Italian immigrants, said of Vergara, who immigrated from Colombia. This fun little bit of Xenophobia was answered with raucous applause and cheering from the crowd.

She doubled down on a recent episode of her podcast, Namaste Bitches, when she reflected on the incident and imitated Vergara’s accent to quote her saying, “Why you makin’ me take a picture with that lady? I don’t want to take a picture with that lady.”

She went on to call Vergara “not a humble person” and said, “you forgot where you came from.” She insisted that she never asks for pictures with celebrities before explaining that people ask her for pictures all the time. So, you know, super humble.

Teresa tends to say terrible things and then immediately follow it up with gibberish, so everyone gets so confused that they just let it go. Getting her to see reason or hold herself accountable is futile and crazymaking.

Not that it matters, but Sofia Vergara became a U.S. citizen in 2014. Teresa’s ex-husband Joe Giudice was deported in 2020 and now lives in the Bahamas.
