Long time readers will know that over the years I’ve posted and written about a good number of cool video edits. One of the most impressive ones was just a few months ago, when the YouTuber ‘eli_handle_b․wav’ (rolls right off your tongue!) uploaded a video in which he had pasted Parks And Rec’s Ron Swanson into the seminal video game, Half-Life 2. It truly is an insanely good piece of work, and if you haven’t seen it, I encourage you to do so now, here.
As high of a standard as ‘eli_handle_b․wav’ set for themselves with that edit, though, they have just come back with something that doesn’t just blow it out of the water, but which makes all future video edits, by anyone—and indeed all art in general—now redundant. In its initial choice of two worlds to fuse, in its selection of clips, in its rhythm and seamless editing, ‘eli_handle_b․wav’ has just delivered the clip to end all clips.
So without further ado, I present to you Frank Reynolds from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia in The Last Of Us (the game, not the show). Enjoy, and weep, for there are no more artistic worlds to conquer:
